External Activity — 2026 Gérard-Parizeau Award: “Propulser l’innovation grâce aux données”

On the occasion of the presentation of the 2026 Gérard-Parizeau Award, of which she is this year’s recipient, Catherine Beaudry (Polytechnique Montréal), CIRANO Researcher and Fellow, will give a lecture entitled “Propulser l’innovation grâce aux données” on October 6 at HEC Montréal.

The lecture will be followed by a roundtable featuring Patrick Cohendet (HEC Montréal, CIRANO), Luc Sirois, Chief Innovator of Québec, and Sophie Veilleux (Université Laval), moderated by Benoit Dostie (HEC Montréal).

A Full Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Industrial Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, Catherine Beaudry is also Principal Researcher for CIRANO’s Innovation and Digital Transformation theme and holds a Canada Research Chair. Her research focuses notably on technological change and innovation.

Presented annually and alternating between economics and management and history, the Gérard-Parizeau Award recognizes the exceptional contribution of a researcher in these fields.
